Technically, Windows CE and Windows Mobile are different operating systems. They do, however, fall under the &quot;embedded operating systems&quot; category - where these operating systems are used to power pocket PC's smartphones and the like.<br />According to web researches, Windows CE is actually the &quot;background operating system&quot; that provides essential services for a device, such as file systems, connectivity and so forth. Normally, these are dealt with by a kernel. A kernel is a central part of an operating system that manages communication between programs and computer hardware. Whereas CE is the foundation OS (operating system), Windows Mobile is the interface - that is, the graphics and elements that are used to display information to a user. Setting Date and Time can be done using Utilities Menu:<br />Go to Main Menu (SPACE with dots 1-2-3-4-5-6 or Menu key on QT), then choose Utilities by pressing U.<br /> Menu,<span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;"> press spacebar to</span> go to Date and Time Set<span style="color:red;background-color:#fcc;"> (D).</span><span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;"> (or press D).</span> A new prompt, &quot;Date Format&quot; should be displayed.<br />At the &quot;Date Format&quot; prompt, choose USA format (S) if you want to display date as month, date and year.
